Bill Carew Joachim Meyer Seminar in SydneyA one-day seminar on 2 May in Renaissance Longsword, after the sixteenth-century teachings of Joachim Meyer of Strasbourg, will be offered by Bill Carew, founder of Collegium in Armis in Brisbane.

Prize FightOn Sunday 2 December 2007 four students of the Fechtschule Sankt Peter presented public demonstrations of prowess.

Each of these played six sequential three-minute assaults with the long sword
for the rank of free scholar (Freifechter):
Chris Morgan.
Chris presented four assaults with the long sword, followed by another four with his weapon of choice, the Polish sabre.

Introductory GrapplingMonday (Jan 22) there was held an introductory grappling & wrestling class at the Denistone East Uniting Church Hall, Acacia Ave, Eastwood at 7.45pm, taught by guest instructor Stuart McDermid. This was a "casual" class, so the cost was $5 for members, $10 for non members, to pay for the hall.

Stoccata Sydney New TermThe new term for Sydney schools started on Monday 10th October. Eastwood (Angloceltia) students will be studying George Silver's short sword, and Ledall's long sword, while Pymble students will study Liechtenauer's long sword.
