The Schoole of the Noble and Worthy Science of Defence was published in 1617, planned as the first of two books. Chapter 12, which is available here is about half the book and contains most of the practical advice on how to fence. Along with the table of contents, it was originally transcribed by Steve Hick, with whose kind permission it appears here. Steve's transcription was checked and corrected by Stephen Hand. The Title and Epistle was partly transcribed by Steve Hick and finished by Stephen Hand, who also transcribed the Preface. We will endeavour to put up more sections as we type them in.
